Cilicia - Daniel Decker - Live in Sydney, Australia

One of these days I will translate this song and post it unless someone knows of an existing translation. It is not only the dream to go back and see but to rebuilt what has been violently and brutally destroyed whether churches, schools, whole cities, the literature, the dances, the artifacts, and the way of life and why not even our national cuisine has been butchered and destroyed and hence the yearning that this song ellicits.

HRANT DİNK-Frightened and Free - They killed Free thought

Latest victim of the Armenian genocide. This murder was so shocking that we still haven't recovered from the emotional wreck it inflicted on us. Yet, he is not the only victim this year, all those who are living in Turkey and are forbidden to speak their mind, practice their religion and watch the destruction of their cultural heritages all around them are present victims of the first genocide of the twentieth century.
BBC Special on Armenian Genocide

The genocide committed by Turkey continues to this day in different forms, whether it's the assassination of Hrant Dink or the destruction of cultural artifacts or the blockading of Armenia or the use of the Azerbaijani armed forces to continue the genocide in Sumgait, Shahumian and many districts of Nagorno-gharapagh up to bombarding the peaceful population of Artzakh.
Tamzara

A challenge to all who visit this site to see how many versions of this dance we can collect. This is just one part of this wonderful dance.
